How To: Muscle and Fascial Scraping
Hold the tool at a 45 degree angle to use the edges. Pull towards or push away like using a shovel. Perform 10-20 strokes both towards and away, along the muscle fibers. Light pressures for acute conditions, moderate to heavy pressures for chronic conditions.
How To: Massage
The Love Handle can be flipped onto its "back" to use the rounded side of the bar to melt away muscle tension. Slide the tool back and forth along the muscles, using your desired pressure. In addition, light pressures with a scraping tool can work to increase blood flow, decrease tension, and relax muscles as a massage tool does.
What is Scraping?
Scraping is effective on scar tissue, chronic tendinitis, post surgical adhesions, pain, and fascial restrictions. The edges excel at breaking up adhesions while preserving healthy tissue. Muscle scraping may improve circulation, decrease muscle tension, release fascial adhesions, and reduce pain.
